Once you open an account we will allocate you with a secure and dedicated number for your mobile phone (or all of your family package member’s mobile phones)
You will then need to pass this / these numbers onto the person in prison for them to apply to their PIN (this is a standard process and should take no longer than 3 working days)
Once the numbers have been approved by prison security your loved one can begin making calls to you at the reduced rate.
This means instead of them paying the mobile rate (around 37p per minute) they will only be charged the local rate (between 4p and 9p per minute) helping them to stretch their credit much further.
Once you reach the allowance set by your package we will send you a free sms message letting you know, at this stage you can decide to suspend the line (so no more calls can be made) or continue to receive calls, if you continue to receive calls you will be charged our standard rate of 7p per minute + VAT (8.4p per minute inc VAT)
For example if you are on a 100 minute package but you receive 200 minutes of calls, you will be charged £9.59 for the first 100 minutes (Local Package 2) and then an additional £8.40 for the 2nd 100 minutes of calls you have received. (100 x 7p + VAT = £8.40)
