HMP Brixton is a category C/D prison in Brixton, inner south London. It holds adult male prisoners from the local Brixton area.

It was built in 1820 as the Surrey House of Correction, intended for 175 prisoners, yet regularly exceeding 200. In 1852, the prison was expanded to a capacity of over 800.
