HMP Woodhill is a category A prison in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. Opened in 1992, and a YOI added, the prison has capacity to hold 819 inmates.

Accommodation consists of House Units 1-6, and each unit has wings A & B. HU1, 2, 3 & 4 hold a mix of remand and convicted prisoners, with induction on 1B, drug rehab on 2A, and vulnerable prisoners on 4B. HU5 has 51 double cells. HU6 has 5 wings (A-E): A and B are national CSC wings, holding some of the most violent and disruptive inmates in the prison system; C wing accommodates the first national “managing behaviour unit”.

There have been 14 self-inflicted deaths between 2010 and 2016, the highest number compared to other prisons. 5 of those alone were in 2015, and another two in 2016.

Visiting hours are 14:00 – 16:00 Tuesday-Thursday, and Saturday-Sunday, and 09:00 – 11:00 on Saturday mornings.
